Currently, students at my school only get 15 minutes a day to read silently to themselves.
At a University, they took a test of reading out loud and also reading silently, and reading out loud.
Reading time should be increased because it will help your vocabulary.
What I think that the more you read the better your vocabulary will become, this is a quote from a University Website, “When a school student struggles with reading aloud, it is important to let them try to sound out words on their own to develop phonological awareness.”
This helps me every time I read a book, “The more they read out loud they will remember more about the story because you are talking and reading the story’s words”.
