Pit Bulls are not anymore dangerous than any other dogs.

I had always heard stories about how scary and dangerous Pit Bulls were but I didn't believe it. When I moved to my new house, my neighbor had two Pit Bulls and even though I did not believe they were bad I was a little worried to meet them. After I met them I realized there was nothing to worry about and that her Pit Bulls were nicer than some other dogs I had met before. All dogs have the possibility to be dangerous. Pit Bulls are not the most or only dangerous dogs.

First, any dog has the potential to be dangerous it is not just Pit Bulls. “If you trace their lineages far enough back in time all dogs are descended from wolves,” says Brian Handwerk. Wolves are wild animals. Wild animals, of course, can be dangerous so dogs are going to be similar to them. Like it said all dogs are descended from wolves so all dogs can be dangerous it’s not just Pit Bulls.

Second, other dog breeds have been known to do the same things that pit bulls do. You are more likely to be bitten by a Chihuahua or a Bulldog. Other dogs that you don’t think bad of also make it on the top lists like German Shepherds and Australian Shepherds. Chihuahuas bite more people than Pit Bulls do, but they do not have that bad if a reputation. Any dog can bite you it just depends on the situation. Also, when a smaller dog bites someone it is most likely not going to be reported but when a larger dog like a Pit Bull bites someone it is, so you are going to hear about Pit Bulls biting someone more than a Chihuahua or some other small dog.

It is often argued that Pit Bulls are number 1 for most aggressive dogs on most lists, and so they are dangerous. One cannot deny that Pit Bulls can be aggressive dogs, but they were bred with an aggressive gene in them. Pit Bulls are a wide variety breed of different kinds of dogs all grouped together into one main group and Pit Bulls were mainly bred to be fighting dogs, so they cannot help most of the things they do. If a Pit Bull is trained right it can be a very gentle loving dog.

Pit Bulls like any dog can be dangerous, but they are not the ones, and they are not the most. Many dogs do the same things as Pit Bulls, but they are not treated as badly. You should not assume that a dog is a bad or dangerous dog until you meet one for yourself, and you can't judge it off an entire breed.
