Strausburg Railroad 460

The E6 class 4-4-2 Pennsylvania steam locomotives were built between 1910 and 1914. 83 of the engines were built but sadly only one of them remains. That one engine is number 460 who built in 1914 and worked doing passenger assignments east of Harrisburg Pennsylvania but in the 1920s were bumped down to secondary passenger service but all hope was not lost when 460 delivered a film real to the New York City International News Reel Company of a Presidential reception for Charles Lindberg from Washington DC to New York City in 1927 beating an airplane. 460 worked along with the remaining two E6s until 1955 when they were all retired and sent for scarp except 460 who was added to Pennsylvania's historic locomotive collection and later added to the Strausburg Railroad museum collection in 1979 where it sat until it was restored 2010 and in 2016 was added to the museum.http://www.nextexithistory.com/explore/historical-sites/pennsylvania-railroad-no-460/
