Cell Phones Should Not be Allowed During Class

Do you hear that? That is the sound of cell phones buzzing and ringing. Cell phones should not be allowed during class because there are lower chances kids will get cyberbullied, students will not be as distracted in class when they do not have their phone, and kids will not have to worry about what is happening on social media.

First, students will not be as distracted in class when they do not their phones. “San Lorenzo High School in California has noticed student interaction going up as cell phones have put down and away in Yondr pouches.” As a result, Yondr pouches help students stay off their phones and regulate self-control

Next, Kids will not have to worry about what is happening on social media. “In Kerry, Ireland, one school has restricted children’s use of smartphones and social media, not only and school but also outside school hours, with the full support of parents.” This proves how students without their phones will not have to worry about being on social media all the time.

Some people would argue that banning phones from class is a bad idea. One cannot deny the fact that cyberbullying usually takes place out of school. A study conducted by theconservation.com says that there is a danger to banning phones from classrooms. Therefore, banning phones during school would impact greatly on students.

This concludes how cell phones should be banned during classrooms. Kids will not be as distracted when they have their phones, students have a lower chance of being cyberbullied, and kids will not have to worry about what is happening on social media. Everyone should agree that phones should not be allowed during school.
