No Grades In School

Imagine feeling great in school and not have to worry about anything and feel great about yourself. That is how we all want to feel. Grades shouldn’t be based on a kid’s performance in school because it’s not letting kids express their creativity or happiness.

First, Grades don’t let kids show their creativity because you have to do certain things that can be boring to the others. On THNK School it says “Grades create an environment that restricts innovation and creativity. They have lost their original purpose, imply failure, and undermine personal relationships.”. They’re saying that because of grades it makes kids feel bad and not have any creativity.

Second, When kids see that their classmates are leaving for a higher class it makes them feel like they’re not good enough and not human. On brilliant-insane.com it says “The high achievers are promoted to advanced classes, while the low achievers are placed in remediation. This sort of academic discrimination can turn a child against learning and scar he/her for life. They’re saying that it makes kids have scars for their whole life because they weren’t smart enough and hate learning.

Some people would say that if there're no grades, that kids won’t try as hard as they do today. One cannot deny that some students are motivated by grades. However, most kids are not motivated by their grades. Grades actually discourage some kids and make them feel bad about themselves.

In conclusion, kids lose their happiness, self-conscious, and creativity for grades. Start demanding that you should have a choice on what you're learning and have fun.
