Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team in the NFL. They joined the NFL in 1933. The play at Heinz field and have the most Super Bowl rings at 6, which is the most out of all 32 NFL teams. Some of the great wide receivers on the team were, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Hines Ward, and many others. Some other offensive greats were Terry Bradshaw, Ben Roethlisberger, Franco Harris, and Jerome Bettis. The Steelers back then were known for their defense nicknamed "The Steel Curtain". Some greats were Troy Polamalu, Mel Blount, Rod Woodson, Jack Ham, James Harrison, Joey Porter, Jack Lambert, and maybe one of the best players ever "Mean Joe Green". The last Super Bowl they won was in 2009. This year they started off slow with the injured starting quarterback, but there backup Mason Rudolph gave them a chance at the playoffs and there are now 5-5. The Steelers overall have been a very successful program.

Basketball open gyms

Starting last Monday the 4th I had basketball open gyms. There were a lot of kids throughout 7th and 8th grade. We first warmed up by shooting around and running sprints. Most of the time we were just learning and doing drills. At the end we did a scrimmage 7th graders vs each other and 8th grade vs each other. We played 2 games the first one my team lost and we had to do 20 push-ups. The second one we won and the other team had to do push-ups. Overall it was fun.
