PODCAST REVIEW
This is the start of a string of podcast reviews, opening with an amazing podcast called Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! By NPR. Please comment suggestions.
This is a news-humor panel show by NPR (National Public Radio) and WBEZ in Chicago, Illinois in the Chase Bank Auditorium on Thursday nights. This show is hosted by Peter Sagal and Bill Kurtis, it took its debut in January of 1998 and is still ongoing.
How it Works
Listeners of this podcast call or email to nominate themselves as contestants in sort of a game show manner. Then the host, Peter, selects about two or three contestants to play in the latest news related games, such as Bluff the Listener, Not my Job, Listener Limerick Challenge, and Lightning Fill-in-the-blank. If one contestant wins three points by these games the prize is to have one of the panelists or hosts record a greeting for the winner.
My Opinion
This podcast is one of my favorite (that says a lot) it's witty, entertaining and gives you a good verse in what's happening in the latest news in a non-boring way. I definitely recommend this podcast, it's the best NPR show by far! Not to mention the hosts are wonderfully humorous and amusing, it really feels like a game show. *podcast suitable for all ages
