The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team in the NFL. They joined the NFL in 1933. The play at Heinz field and have the most Super Bowl rings at 6, which is the most out of all 32 NFL teams. Some of the great wide receivers on the team were, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Hines Ward, and many others. Some other offensive greats were Terry Bradshaw, Ben Roethlisberger, Franco Harris, and Jerome Bettis. The Steelers back then were known for their defense nicknamed "The Steel Curtain". Some greats were Troy Polamalu, Mel Blount, Rod Woodson, Jack Ham, James Harrison, Joey Porter, Jack Lambert, and maybe one of the best players ever "Mean Joe Green". The last Super Bowl they won was in 2009. This year they started off slow with the injured starting quarterback, but there backup Mason Rudolph gave them a chance at the playoffs and there are now 5-5. The Steelers overall have been a very successful program.
